: We informed leaders, instructors, and the young people NEET about the purpose of NEXT STEP and our presence in the field. Consent was obtained through agreements with the leaders of the specific department in the municipality, and they provided us with access to the employees and the key informants on the days. We obtained consent from the participating individuals through an ongoing dialog where we emphasized that the participation was voluntary. The study was approved by the University of Southern Denmark in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
