: Research approval was sought from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology [Makerere University] and the School of Medicine Research and Ethics Committee (SOMREC) and was granted under reference #REC REF 2020 − 163.The nature, research question, objectives, and methodology of the study were explained to the staff at KNRH.A signed informed consent form was obtained from the participant. It had a description of the purpose of the study, the risks and benefits of participation as well as the rights of the participants. Participants were informed that their participation was purely voluntary and they could withdraw from the study at any time. They were informed that choosing not to participate or to withdraw from the study would not have any impact on the standard of care that they would receive from the clinic.It was explained to the participants that the information in the questionnaires would be treated with utmost confidentiality and privacy would be ensured while conducting the interviews.
