: The author wants to combine insights from social psychology, political science and immigration studies in order to gain more insight into the political participation of immigrants and their children. More specifically, the author is interested in how immigrant and their children’s social identifications, related to religion and the origin country, relate to their political participation in Western Europe under different circumstances.
