: KH is a Senior Research Fellow in Applied Health at the University of Leeds, and a passionate advocate of patient and public involvement in research. She has been a trustee and director of the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund since its inception in 1997. She is a member of the Mesothelioma Research Network and the European Lung Foundation’s (ELF) Patient Advisory Committee (PAC), and was elected to the ELF Council in September 2017.MP is a Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV at the Mortimer Market Centre in London. She was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma in January 2017 and since then has become involved with raising awareness of mesothelioma via blogging for Mesothelioma UK and the British Lung Foundation. She attended and was impressed by the “Meet the Researchers” event in Leeds in 2017.ZT is a Reader in Cancer Immunology at Cardiff University. Her group has been working on the immunology of mesothelioma for more than 10 years. Her main interest is to explore how the immune system can be directed and empowered to attack malignant mesothelioma cells. Her mesothelioma research has been supported by grants from the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund and the British Lung Foundation. She is a member of the Mesothelioma Research Network and the College of Experts of the British Lung Foundation. She has attended several Action Mesothelioma Day events in Leeds.
