Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. An approval to carry out the research was obtained from the Ethics Committee of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi (Approval Number: NAUTH/CS/66/VOL.8/119) before the commencement of the study. Each participant signed or thumb-printed the consent form after the nature and objectives of the study had been duly explained to them.
