ETHICS APPROVAL AND CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
: The animal-related experiments were conducted in accordance with Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and the Council on the protection of animals used for scientific surveys. The sample collection and survey objective protocols were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, All-Russia Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding, Stavropol, Russian Federation (Decision no. 2023–0045, April 14, 2023). The experiments were performed in accordance with all international, national, and/or institutional recommendations on the protection of animals used in scientific surveys. The hair samples used in the analyses were taken in accordance with the standard procedures and animal care. The All-Russian Veterinary Research Institute of Pathology, Pharmacology and Therapy gave consent for conducting the surveys (no. 2–03/23 of March 1, 2023).
