ETHICS APPROVAL AND CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
: All procedures associated with genotyping and biomaterial selection were conducted in compliance with the principles of humane handling of animals and minimization of exposure to stress. Investigations were conducted in accordance with the Directive 2010/63/EU of the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT and EUROPEAN UNION COUNCIL on protection of animals used for scientific purposes. Sampling and the goal of the research were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding, Stavropol, Russian Federation (permission number 2024–0031 dated April 15, 2024).
