CONCLUSIONS
: In the three-level inverter of a frequency converter of an electric drive with an induction motor, due to the higher number of semiconductor switches, a short circuit of an isolated transistor leads to less negative consequences in comparison with the two-level inverter. The maximum current in transient process is nearly four times lower, and the maximum moment is about 2.5 times lower; upon decay of control pulses at the transistor gate, the transient processes in inverters with various topologies actually do not differ.
